Description

Young readers will love these timeless tales of heroism, gods and monsters. After the Trojan War, Odysseus wants to sail straight home to Ithaca and his wife, Penelope. But the gods are angry with our hero. His fleet will be driven off course, his ships smashed by storms and his men gobbled down by a giant Cyclops. Will he make it home? The humorous cartoon-style illustrations and the narrative approach encourage readers to engage with the characters. 'Ask the storyteller' boxes give peripheral details about the narrative and the characters involved. The book features an introduction to Greek storytelling, a glossary and index, as well as a 'Who's who' section with a pronunciation guide.
