Renowned photographer Glenn Jowitt has put this concept together with the help of John Parker, author of Poppa McPhee and numerous other titles, including the 4-volume children's history series Frontier of Dreams: The Story of New Zealand. The concept includes a simple text introducing hats from a wide range of cultures, and includes notes on the names and uses of other hats in a special section at the back. The full-colour photographs are stunning studies of a variety of cultures, including Greek, Turkish, Tongan, Fijian and many others.
