The Weather Machine

Author(s): Donovan Bixley

Picture books - NZ

Once upon a time, in a world not so different to ours, a small blue man built a weather machine... And then it all went terribly wrong. Donovan Bixley's distinctive illustration style shines in this absorbing, entertaining wordless book. Younger children will love the colourful, fun illustrations of the strange but familiar world with its curious inhabitants. Older children will grasp the more subtle meaning behind this environmental Frankenstein-like story about one man who wants to do good but creates a "monster". You'll see something different every time you 'read' it.
