Finalist - LIANZA Illustration Award - Russell Clark Award 2012

Gay Hay is an environmental enthusiast and primary school teacher. She is a volunteer for Nga Uruora Trust and, as the Pukerua Bay school environmental officer, has helped children plant and nurture more than 6000 trees. This is her first work of fiction.

Margaret Tolland is an artist and currently the Education Coordinator at Pataka Museum of Arts and Cultures. This is her first published book.
