Description"A young schoolgirl, Abigail Knightly, enjoys playing dress-ups in her treehouse when she gets home from school, but her nosey neighbour thinks she needs to grow up and get real"--Publisher information. Author descriptionLatesha (Tesh) Randall lives in beautiful Raglan, on the west coast of NZ. She has loved writing since she was old enough to realise that letters strung together could make words, and she published her first children's story Button Thief at age 19. Tesh writes for several newspapers and magazines and is well-known around Raglan for the coconut yoghurt enterprise she and her fiance Seb run together there. Like Abigail, Tesh has an extensive collection of hats and brightly-coloured clothes, and hopes that this beautifully-illustrated little story inspires some fun in the children who get to read it. The story is complemented by the beautiful and whimsical illustrations of Esther Tattersall who lives in Whangarei. A mother of three small children herself, she frequently finds herself picking up discarded costumes from around the house and garden and reminding Batman to take his shoes off before he comes inside ! |
