Fifi, that adventurous, elegant feline first met in Fifi la Belle and Fifi la Belle Takes a Bath is taken on a trip with her owner, which includes a short trip on a large ferry - one where animals are kept strictly under control. But not our Fifi. This curious cat finds her way out of her box, out of the car, and into the sea breezes. At one point she is seen imitating that famous scene from Titanic, at the bow of the ship, with body slanted forward into the breeze, and long fur streaming out behind!

Lucy Davey is currently based at home in Auckland with her three young children who provide her with first-hand knowledge of the current preferences and interests of young readers (and their parents). Christine Ross is the illustrator of the first two Fifi la Belle titles and Diana Noonan's charming Auntie Rosie and the Rabbit. Christine is an accomplished illustrator of many years' experience who lives in Carterton.
