Description

Emily loves her precious doll Daisy, a doll her Great-great-grandmother used to play with. Her dress is torn, some of her hair is missing but Emily doesn't mind. Emily has a baby sister who would love to play with Daisy Doll but Emily has never been parted from her doll - not ever. So baby Penelope-Rose just watches her sister, clutching her piece of blue blanket. But then one night Penelope-Rose falls sick and Mum and Dad rush her to hospital. In their haste they leave the 'blue blankie' behind. Penelope-Rose has to stay in hospital overnight but without her blankie she won't stop crying. Emily finally offers her sister Daisy Doll and Penelope-Rose is immediately comforted and falls fast asleep. When Dad and Emily arrive at the hospital the next day Penelope-Rose is fine and carefully hands back Daisy Doll.

A very recognisable relationship between two siblings, beautifully illustrated.

(Also available in a Maori version.)
