Pi is a fantail with a problem. He?s hungry but no matter how hard he tries he just can?t seem to catch any food. The other birds all try to help but Pi can?t soar like a hawk, or dive like a kingfisher. He can?t dig like kakapo or see in the dark like morepork. When everything looks hopeless and he questions why he can?t be like other birds, wise old takahe helps out and Pi realises his uniqueness makes him special.
