Set on Ferguson farm, the characters in the Massey Ferguson series are all farm machinery, with a core cast of two tractors, a milk tanker, a ute, a mobility scooter and an old Jalopy. The hero of the series is Massey Ferguson, a small tractor with a big knack for resourcefulness, problem-solving and pluck. Massey Fergusons audience is preschool and up to age 6. The 5-minute television episodes entertain whimsically, and will reinforce positive life values being instilled into children by their parents, caregivers and early childhood educators. A rural setting is good for this because the machines need to be resourceful and co-operative.
