Glow-worm Night

Author(s): Don Long

New Zealand titles - children

This is the story of two children who are taken glow-worming by their parents during Matariki. In order to reach the bank beside the local river where the glow-worms are, the family must pass through the bush, where they see and experience night-time animals such as morepork and possums. This book takes readers on an adventure they and their families may have never considered possible in their own neighbourhood. At the end of the book is a page of information about where glow-worms might be found, and how to treat them if they are found. An excellent read-together book for under sixes and a wonderful read-alone book for over sixes.
