As they arrive, Matt sees a group of kids hanging around. They turn out to be good fun and they fill him in on the house in the bush where, it is rumoured, the murderer lives, with his savage dog, Razor. As evening falls, the leader of the group, Gordo, dares Matt to sneak into the house to show how tough he is. He has to show them something he has taken from inside to prove that he has achieved the task.
