Stella's big sister, Penny, has gone to live in Ireland with her new baby. As the story opens Stella is musing on Penny's latest problem. She's fractured her shoulder, something that makes looking after a baby very difficult. So the proposal is that Stella fly to the rescue. An idea that has much appeal to Stella. But all actions have consequences, as Stella finds out when she decides to act as matchmaker for Penny and her Irish friend - and almost destroys the friendship completely.
