Tommo on trumpet and Mikki on drums have always been the backbone of the school band. But when Mikki discovers a passion for football, Tommo finds himself torn between winning glory as a trumpet soloist and learning drums to save the band. Lurching from mishap to mayhem, he must somehow dodge the clutches of a die hard coach, the teeth of the principal's pampered pooch and the attentions of a love sick Shirlynne. Will he emerge, conscience and body intact?
