Product Information

Rosalind Malam is the author of seven children's books including The Big Night, Caught on Camera (Reed Publishing) and Poppa (Pearson). She grew up in Northland, New Zealand, and says that her imagination was stimulated by her childhood home - a large, spooky historic building that was once a travellers' inn and infirmary. Rosalind now lives in Auckland and teaches at a local primary school. Rustle up a Rhythm is her first book for Scholastic NZ. Sarah Nelisiwe Anderson is the illustrator of several picture books for Scholastic NZ, including The Were-Nana (2009 Children's Choice winner at the NZ Post Book Awards and a Storylines Notable Book), Hester's Blister, the Joy Cowley award winner Tiny Miss Dott and her Dotty Umbrella, Little Red and the Cunning Kuri, and Luther and the Cloud Makers. Katikati-based Sarah is a freelance illustrator who also produces artwork for magazines, journals, advertising campaigns, and other publications.
