Author: Gwenda Turner
The builder’s cat is very busy indeed.

He likes to go to work each day and see what everyone is doing. He likes the BANG of the hammer, the BUZZ of the drill and the CRACK of the nail gun. And he loves a LICK of ice-cream at the end of a hard day on the building site.

Gwenda Turner was one of New Zealand's most popular children's writers. When she died tragically in February 2001 she left a legacy of wonderful picture books, loved by children all around the world. Gwenda wanted to show New Zealand children in typical everyday settings, wearing ordinary clothes and having fun. She also wrote and illustrated three books for the adult market including Gwenda Turner's Christchurch.
